NASHVILLE, TN – January 29, 2009 -- Renowned architect and Nashville native, N. Mitchell Barnett, A.I.A., has launched a line of hand-drawn architectural renderings through his new company, Mitchell Barnett Art Prints, LLC. Barnett’s custom homes are in demand by southern notables and international celebrities including Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, Donna Summer, Gary LeVox (Rascal Flatts), Big Kenny (Big and Rich), Ashley Judd, Reese Witherspoon, and many others. Barnett’s watercolor art prints are now available to the public through online sales and select gift shops.

Mitchell Barnett was commissioned by the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina to draw an exact replica of the Biltmore House. His collection of prints, posters, and note cards of America’s “castle” is featured at the Biltmore Gift Shop and Biltmore Online at www.shop.biltmore.com. "It has been a highlight of my career to be asked to draw the rendering. Much of my work as an architect is designing and drawing homes from the ground up, incorporating my client's vision into their dream home. What a thrill it was to study and make an exact drawing of one of our nation's treasures," says Barnett.

Many of Barnett’s clients, friends and associates have been impressed with his architectural renderings and have encouraged him to launch the line to the public. When a client’s home is completed, the company frames the original concept drawing along with an actual photograph of the home and presents it to the homeowner as a gift. "Those who appreciate and understand fine architecture are Mitch’s biggest fans," says his wife and the company's CFO Lisa Barnett. "They start out collecting his art and then one day, decide they want him to design their next home. Architecture is truly an art form and we set out to design masterpieces!"

Barnett’s next artistic undertaking will be just as impressive. He has begun work on an architectural rendering of the United States Capitol, to be revealed in the summer of 2009. Other pieces in the collection include Andrew’s Jackson’s Hermitage, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, West End Cathedral (Nashville), Swan House (Atlanta), and Father Ryan High School (Nashville).
