
Mitchell Barnett AIA
Graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Mitchell Barnett built his firm from the ground up. As a memeber of the American Institute of Architects, (AIA) he has worked in the field of architecture for over 35 years. Serving a discerning, high-end clientele, Mitch specializes in custom homes and remodels, ensuring that each client’s vision is not only realized but elevated beyond expectation. His portfolio spans the entire state of Tennessee, showcasing projects of every scale and style—from grand 25,000-square-foot mansions in classical tradition, to authentic French-inspired cottages, to bold and contemporary estates.

Christian Blackwell RA

Born and raised in Middle Tennessee, Christian graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a degree in Environmental Design from the College of Architecture. Following graduation, his passion for creativity led him to the culinary arts, where he earned a degree from the Culinary Institute of America. After time in the restaurant industry and serving as an Adjunct Culinary Professor at Nashville State Community College, Christian returned to his original path—architecture—earning his license in 2021 as a Registered Architect (RA).
Christian has been a valued member of Barnett’s team for over 15 years. He lives in Leiper’s Fork with his family, and when he’s not designing, you’ll often find him on the trails coaching the local NICA Mountain Bike Team.

Natalie Hayman
Architect Assistant/Project Manager
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Natalie relocated to Tennessee in 2020 after spending 31 years in Florida. She joined Mitchell Barnett Architect, P.C. on March 2, 2020, and has since become an integral part of the team, handling project coordination, research, and client communication.
With 12 years of prior experience as an administrative assistant and leasing coordinator in Florida, Natalie brings strong organizational skills and a wealth of knowledge to her role. Her dedication and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to the company.
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys caring for her family and their ever-growing mini farm—home to chickens, turkeys, ducks, dogs, and cats.

Mo Iskander
Moheb began his architectural career in Egypt, where he earned his bachelor’s degree from New Cairo Academy. Following graduation, he served in the Army’s Engineering Department as an architect, contributing to a wide range of design and construction projects. He later expanded his expertise internationally in Kuwait and Dubai, working on both residential and commercial developments.
Now based in the U.S., Mo is pursuing his architectural license through the ARE 5.0 exams and has already passed three sections. At the firm, he specializes in the technical side of projects, transforming concepts into reality with detailed drawings and 3D renderings that help clients fully envision their future spaces.
Outside of work, Mo enjoys time with his wife and children, caring for his German Shepherd, and staying active with regular workouts.

Ramil Trinidad
Ramil attended Arizona State University, graduating with a degree in Urban Planning and a minor in Sustainability, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. With a strong architectural focus in his studies, he gained early exposure to computer-aided design and continues to stay current as design programs evolve.
His skills include document production, construction document review for content and coordination, conflict resolution between disciplines, addendums, code research, permit letters, and specification review. Known for his efficiency and organization, Ramil ensures projects are managed with precision from start to finish.
He is currently working toward completing the requirements to become a registered architect through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

Jos Overman
Originally from the Netherlands, Jos has worked alongside Mitch for nearly 40 years. Specializing in technical details, he takes a traditional approach to his craft, relying on hand design rather than CAD. His dedication to precision and timeless methods continues to set him apart.

Rupan, Associate AIA
Rupan, an Architectural Associate, is a recent addition to the firm. She holds a Master of Architecture with a concentration in Urbanism from the University of Tennessee, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Chandigarh College of Architecture in India. She is also a licensed architect in India.
In 2024, Rupan’s studio team project Knox Yards earned third place in the ACSA’s Timber in the City: Urban Habitats Competition, showcasing her talent and design vision. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and V-Ray, she produces highly illustrative and realistic renderings that bring clarity to the design process for both clients and architects.
Outside of work, Rupan enjoys music, watching films across genres, and pursuing her passion for photography, capturing not only details but the true essence of a place. Her creativity and technical expertise make her a valued asset to the team.

Lisa Barnett CFO
Lisa, married to Mitch, is the proud mother of two children, Alex and Hailey. She brings an extensive background in banking and real estate to the firm, with her mortgage and real estate experience proving especially valuable.
At the office, Lisa wears many hats, overseeing accounting, contracts, site meetings, construction visits, and the business operations that ensure the company’s success and overall well-being. Her dedication and versatility make her an integral part of the team.
