Mitchell Barnett AIA

​Graduating from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Mitchell Barnett grew his firm from the ground up and he has been in the architecture field for over 35 years. Working with high end clientele, Mitch specializes in custom homes and remodels ensuing that each client’s dreams are met and exceeded beyond reality.  He has designed custom residences throughout all of Tennessee that range all scopes and genre with massive 25,000-square-foot mansion in grand classical style, authentic French-inspired cottages to striking contemporary estates.​

Christian Blackwell: RA

Born in Middle Tennessee, Christian graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a Degree in Environmental Design from the College of Architecture. Post graduation, he decided to pursue the art of cooking by earning a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of America. After a brief stint in the restaurant world and working as an Adjunct Culinary Professor at Nashville State (NSCC), Christian returned to Architecture earning his Architecture License in 2021. Christian has now been a part of Barnett’s team for over 15 years and resides in Leiper's Fork with his family, where he can be found out on the trails coaching the local NICA Mountain Bike Team.​cblackwell@mitchellbarnettarchitect.com

Natalie Hayman
Architect Assistant/Project Manager

 ​​Natalie, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, relocated to Tennessee in 2020 after spending 31 years in Florida. She joined Mitchell Barnett Architect, PC on March 2, 2020, and plays a crucial role in project coordination, research, and client communication. With 12 years of experience as an administrative assistant and leasing coordinator in Florida, Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge to her position. Natalie's dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset to the company.In her free time, Natalie enjoys taking care of her family and tending to their expanding mini farm of chickens, turkeys, ducks, dogs, and cats.​

Mo Iskander

Moheb began his architectural journey in Egypt, earning his bachelor’s degree from New Cairo Academy. After graduation, he served in the Army’s Engineering Department as an architect, working on a variety of design and construction projects. He later expanded his experience internationally in Kuwait and Dubai, contributing to residential and commercial developments.Now based in the U.S., Mo is working toward his architectural license through the ARE 5.0 exams—already halfway there with three passed. At the firm, he focuses on the technical side of projects and brings ideas to life through detailed drawings and 3D renderings that help clients visualize their future spaces.Outside of work, Mo enjoys spending time with his wife and children, taking care of his German Shepherd, and staying active with regular workouts.​

Ramil Trinidad

Ramil attended Arizona State University where he graduated not only with a degree in Urban Planning and a minor in Sustainability but with a 4.0. With his degree heavily focused on architecture, he was exposed to computer-aided design pushing him to keep in touch with programs as they modernize. Additional skills include document production, review of construction documents for content and correlation of conflicts between disciplines, addendums, code research, permit letters, and reviewing specs. All projects were managed efficiently and with great organization. Ramil has proceeded to work towards meeting all his qualifications to be a registered architect associated with National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).​

Jos Overman

                Native to the Netherlands, Jos has been alongside Mitch for almost 40 years. Specializing in technical details, he steers clear of CAD. Instead, his commitment to hand design sets him apart from the others.

Rupan, Associate AIA

Rupan, an Architectural Associate, is a recent addition to the office. With a Master of Architecture (Concentration in Urbanism) from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s from Chandigarh College of Architecture, India, Rupan brings diverse skills to the team. She is also a licensed architect in India.She was awarded third position at the ACSA's Timber in the City: Urban Habitats Competition 2024 for her studio team project Knox Yards. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Adobe Suite, and modeling software such as SketchUp + V-Ray, Rupan has facilitated many illustrative and realistic renderings for our clients, bringing clarity to the visions of both client and architect.In her natural habitat, she loves to listen to music and is an avid watcher of films from different genres. Another of her passionate interests is photography, through which she captures not only details but also the essence of a place. Lisa Barnett CFO

                Lisa is married to Mitch and has two beautiful children, Alex and Hailey. Lisa has an extensive background in banking and real estate.  Her experience in mortgage real estate has been very helpful. Her many jobs at the office consists of all things accounting, contracts, site meetings, construction site visits and all the business aspects ensuring the company’s success and overall wellbeing.​accounting@mitchellbarnettarchitect.com
